Working Is Good – But……..

This whole working more or less full-time is nice, but it sure messes up the day. Not that I’m complaining about working or having a job. Both are good things. But, when you’re retired, the working five days a week routine, begins to redefine the concept of retirement.

But, just have two weeks left in the school year. School finishes here on the 28th of June(Friday). The day before(27th) is a no-school day, so teachers can finish report cards and stuff like that.

So technically, only nine days left.

I did hear yesterday(although not confirmed) that a young brother and sister I have working with for the past while were removed from their family by Child Protective Services. That would explain why I haven’t seen them for the past few days. Still working through this.

Two weeks today, we’ll be on the road back to Ontario for a few days. This trip is a combination of excitement(I think) and trepidation(I know for sure).

Lynn hasn’t seen her father since last October. There hasn’t been much or any chat back and forth between them on her father’s “new lady friend”(his phrase). Lynn plans on correcting this when we get there.

But that is a few weeks away yet.

But, it’s Saturday and farmers market day.

    1. Thanks for stopping by. Working only takes up about 5 hours a day, but it is the five days a week that is throwing a wrench into the mix. We like the flexibility of doing spontaneous things during the week. But, it will have to wait another 9 days until school is finished. We’re looking forward to the summer, especially four days in Halifax looking after our daughters pets.
