I’m not entirely sure the quote “timing is everything” rings true perhaps as much as we may hope or wish it does. But, on the other hand, it may very well be the thing that makes the universe spin.
The simple reality I suspect is “timing is everything” falls somewhere in between “yes – it makes the universe spin” and “well – not really, but a nice quote nonetheless.”
A couple of days ago, I was chatting via text with a friend that I used to work with.
This particular time during our chat back and forth, I asked about how work was going; how some of the folks we worked with are keeping, and the status of the seemingly ongoing forever contract negotiations.
This is where the “whole timing is everything” appears to be a strong “universe spinning mechanism.”
So, apparently, a new contract was signed(they were still in negotiations when I left). And obviously, in any negotiation process, there is or at least should be a certain amount of giving and take on both sides.
But, some of the things they gave up or were forced to accept – make me think or appreciate that my last day there on June 28 – was the “timing is everything moment” of moments.
The quote above says, “if it’s meant to happen, it will, at the right time for the right reasons” which is true(I think) in some sense of it. I think where people trip up or get stuck is, that the assumption(and the wrong assumption in my opinion) that “timing is everything” and “having your ducks lined up” are somehow connected together. That one doesn’t exist without the other one.
That once your ducks are lined up that is when the quote “timing is everything” rings true.
I don’t believe that. Not for a second.
“Timing is everything” becomes a reality when you take a giant step of faith given the realization that you have no ducks, let alone ever having the little darlings in any semblance of a row.
The timing bit occurs; the timing is right – when there is action taken.
The universe may have created the perfect “timing is everything” scenario in your life. Hell, you may even have ducks and got them in a sort of weird row – but unless you take action; step out and start along that road ……….nothing happens.
Nothing ever happens unless you step out in faith.
