A pleasant surprise to find this nomination/award from Belle of Welcome to Belles Days in my comments section a few days ago.
So, thanks to Belle for the kind thoughts and including me. This is going to be great fun.
A Vincent Ehindero Blogger Award.
Vincent has a blog on WordPress, which deals with helping and encouraging people with personal and business growth.
And obviously, he has created the “Vincent Ehindero Blogger Award” – “i’m proud of the great work you are doing on your blog.”
As with any of these awards, there are a few rules to follow and Vincent’s is not much different.
•Thank the person that nominated you with a link to their blog.
• Make a post of the award (with a photo).
• Post the rules.
• Ask 5-10 questions of your choice.
• Nominate 10-30 other bloggers.
Here’s a bunch of questions that Belle wants me to tackle.
Did you like writing as a child or has it come later on for you?
Much, much later as matter of fact. I didn’t start blogging until 2016. Which was in my late fifties. But, never too late – right?
If you could choose anywhere in the world to live, where would it be and why?
Right now we would choose to live in the province of Nova Scotia on the east coast of Canada in order to be closer to our daughter. However, the premiers of the eastern four maritime provinces have gone crazy on a power trip and closed their borders to only those living in those four provinces for the most part.
Do you prefer to be with people or are you happy in your own company?
A bit of both at times.
Right know within the context of our own extended family, there is much mistrust and varying levels of anger in terms of following and maintaining COVID_19 rules as laid out by the province. The relatives pick and choose the rules to follow if and when it justifies their own desires in terms of parties and large gatherings. Just writing it makes me sad and angry at the same time.
So, Lynn and I are for the most part on our own.
What would be your ideal writing space?
Good question – not sure.
Right now it is our living room. The thought of a cabin in the woods or a balcony overlooking a harbour sound pretty good to me though.
What characteristics do you admire in other people and why?
Honesty, understanding and empathy.
What’s your preferred loungewear?
Track or sweatpants and a sweater.
What’s your comfort food? Drink?
Not sure I have a particular comfort food and/or drink. Every so often, I do like a craft beer brewed from a small craft brewery that we might come across on our journey’s.
Do you like to curl up on the sofa with a good book or are you itching to get outside?
Both. It depends on the mood in I’m in.
I prefer outside, but a good book to savour on a cold and rainy day has appeal as well.
And if you’re reading this right now – consider yourself nominated and answer the same questions that Belle asked me.
— get outdoors; find inspiration; discover yourself —
